We are permanently surrounded by social networks and we use them in our daily communication routine in the personal sphere of life. But have you ever considered that these very same tools could be tremendously handy when it comes to marketing strategy?

Managing your company

As an advisor, you represent the Soft Paris brand and sell its products but you also advertise yourself to potential new clients and new recruits - your enthousiasm, your motivation, your sales instinct and professionalism are just so many essential elements in the success of your activity. You need to market yourself in order to be successful! Being an independent direct sales advisor means you have to multitask and you must know how to accomplish every task a company faces : finance, marketing, strategy, customer service and sales techniques. Let us focus now on marketing, a necessary aspect of the good working of your activity, and more precisely on how to integrate the use of social networks into your marketing strategy.

Of the importance of social media in your independent direct sales enterprise

Word of mouth is a very efficient way to broadcast about a brand. 92% of consumers trust close family and friend’s recommendations when they are facing  a purchase decision.

Some surprising numbers :

  • 74% of consumers consider word of mouth as a major influence when choosing a product.
  • 88% of customers rely on written comments and reviews from other consumers posted online.
  • On social networks, 58% of consumers actively share their positive experiences about products and services and seek the opinion of their close ones.

Technology makes social interaction easy and allows content (and products) to be promoted at a larger scale : a post or status written in a few minutes by a brand’s follower can be almost instantly seen and shared by hundreds or thousands! This means you have access to visibility to thousands of potential buyers.

A few tips on the use of social networks

As you certainly know, your network is the key to your success! Facebook, for example, can help you win the loyalty of your customers on the long run. Facebook can then become your online address book and contain a lot of valuable information about your customer base. Let us imagine that one of your client announces her wedding on Facebook. Isn’t that a perfect occasion to suggest throwing her the “Like a Virgin” hen party. Another judicious/wise move is to contact your Facebook friends ahead long weekends and bank holidays and offer to organize a Soft Party for them on those days.

Keep in mind that your communication with your clients doesn’t end with a sale or party. As an independent direct sales advisor, you must regularly look for new recruits and hostesses for your future Soft Parties. Facebook can be used here for private messaging with clients but also to post photos of the lingerie, accessories and toys of the new collection.

At the end of your Soft Party, do not forget to mention your facebook account to your clients and encourage them to follow it. This will allow you to extend your network and keep in touch easier with your customer base. But consider also a phone call : this more personalised way of reaching out to people is highly appreciated !

Besides Facebook, other social media can come in handy for marketing plan : Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest are excellent platforms of products or Soft Party images sharing. You can also join the Soft Paris Facebook page and receive daily updates on exclusive information and content to share with your network.
