Female body hair removal: a feminist issue? What you really think...
From Madonna’s armpit hair selfie to Cameron Diaz' comments on a women’s right to choose, and the Veet 'don't risk dudeness' adverts, female body hair is now officially a news topic. Soft Paris have then asked how we really feel about this women’s issue and the results can be seen below.
“Soft Paris encourage women to enjoy their bodies, free from shame. With the brand values of liberté, egalité, fraternité, we feel hair or no hair should be up to the individual, not dictated by society. What concerns us is the anxiety some women face when they do not confrom to the standards culturally dictated. We don’t wish our clients to feel pressure to conform to the pre-pubescent look unless it helps them enjoy their bodies more. Likewise if they want to be as nature intended, we celebrate that. Soft Paris stands for choice and freedom. The photograph, in relation to the issue of body hair, was created to try and encourage the freedom of opinion we encourage’.
