Experience the Soft Paris Party Plan Through a Top Direct Selling Consultant
After merging with Bluebella, Soft Paris sat down with Carla, a top Bluebella direct selling consultant, to discover her experience with Soft Paris so far. Having been a direct selling consultant for over eight years, she explains how it has become more than just a job to part of her social life now.
Just like so many others, Carla initially decided to get into direct selling in order to work from home and be with her family. With a child on the way she found getting a job that allowed her to work flexible hours was difficult to find and direct selling proved to be the perfect option.
She goes on to explain what it was that really made her continue her career as a direct selling consultant: “You can get out there and meet new people and that is really fun. That is also very important.”
When asked what she thought makes a really good direct seller and what it was that makes the difference Carla mentioned: “It’s adapting to the customers during the party. You have to sell to different audiences every evening. So if you can do that and adjust to the room then you are going to sell more products.”
She led on to express the difference between Soft Paris to her previous role at Bluebella namely mentioning the emphasis on the party experience: “It’s more the experience of the party and it’s the experience of the advisor herself being able to stay truthful as you’ve got to be honest with your customers as well, so if you can give them honest advice then they’re obviously going to come back to you as well."
The most important part of direct selling, as Carla realised throughout her career, is that you can build a relationship with your customers. Trust is the key factor to succeeding in direct selling. “If they don’t trust you, they don’t believe in what you’re saying to them, they’re not going to buy from you either. So if you can build that relationship with your customers and they believe you have got the right expertise, then they will trust you and they will want to buy the products from you.”
Soft Paris offers all direct selling consultants training both at the start and throughout their careers. Having had experience in direct selling, Carla shared her thoughts on the Soft Paris training and how she found it helpful: “Yes, I really enjoyed it actually. And to be able to see the intranet from somebody else’s eye as well, it helped so much. And I’ve been guided through how a Classique party should be done, which helped as well because I can then take the information forward and take it to the team. I have felt the support whenever I needed it."
Carla then went on to describe a typical Soft Party to someone who has never experienced a party before, explaining what they should expect: “It’s very different to any other party that we’ve done before. So that they can sit back and relax, and they won’t feel intimidated either, or humiliated. It’s a relaxed atmosphere."
Not something she’s seen before, Carla noted that the Soft Paris boudoir* is something that other companies do not do but is important as part of the party experience. She states that it “depends on the group of people that’s going to be at the party. It’s especially going to work for a person if they are not that comfortable talking in front of other people, but would prefer to just directly give you an order.”
The reason she found people are drawn to Soft Paris is “because they don’t only want to buy products, they want to learn about the products from someone who can tell them everything about those products”.
